| OUR HISTORY |
In 1969, Cliff started Shane-Suchman Real Estate Co. with his brother-in-law Martin Shane, where they focused solely on commercial properties. Cliff’s son Larry joined the business in 1983 after earning a degree in real estate and finance. Larry took a particular interest in shopping center and retail tenant representation. As a result, in 1992 Suchman Retail Group was formed with a primary focus on commercial land, shopping center leasing, management and development and retail tenant representation. Shortly before that in 1990 Cliff’s cousin, Philip Leitman, who has a master’s degree in business and finance, sold his import-export business in Toronto and moved to Miami where he came to work with Cliff and Larry, quickly learning the business and becoming an investment partner. Today Cliff serves as the Chairman of the Board of Suchman Retail Group with Larry as President and Philip as Chief Operating Officer. Today Suchman Retail Group is widely known and respected for its participation in and contributions to the growth and development of South Dade, in particular the south US-1 and Kendall Drive corridors (the Dadeland and Kendall markets). |
